Using The hoopla App

hoopla provides library patrons access to thousands of ebooks, audiobooks, comics, movies, and television shows.  Many titles are always available with no waiting!

Follow the steps below to get started using hoopla:

  1. Download and install hoopla from your app store:
    Get the hoopla app on Google Play. Get the hoopla app on the Apple App Store.
  2. Open the app and follow the prompts to add a library.
  3. Sign in using your library card and PIN.  Don’t have a PIN or having trouble?  Email us or call 828.287.6115.

Tips for using hoopla:

  • When searching in the app, select Advanced Search and use the Availability and Format options to narrow your results to titles available now and in the format you use most (ebook, audiobook, etc).
  • Use the My hoopla page to view items you currently have checked out, check out history, holds, and favorites list.
  • Help your kids see items just for them by turning on the Kids Mode option on the Settings page.
