Kids StarLab Stargazing at Mountains Branch

Kids ages 5-12 are invited to Mountains Branch on Monday, May 5th at 4:30pm to explore the night skies with the StarLab inflatable planetarium, courtesy of the NC State Library. We will explore the night skies, watch the movie “From the Earth to the Universe” from ESO, and learn how to use a star wheel. Kids will get to take home their star wheels and mini flashlights so that they can explore their own skies!

Registration is required. Please call Mountains Branch at 828-287-6392 or fill out the form below. Unlike most of our other programs, you will also need to register for any parents who intend to enter the planetarium, as space is limited. The StarLab planetarium is wheelchair accessible, but please email Mary Katherine at mary.toney@rutherfordcountync.gov if you need this accommodation so that we can properly plan!

We understand that schedules change, but in order to best serve our patrons, we ask that you notify the library via phone or email if you find that you are unable to attend. This gives us the opportunity to allow other patrons to register.
