Books and Barks at County Library

Beginner and struggling readers are invited to practice their reading skills with Cletus the dog! Children can attend 15-minute segments where they can practice reading aloud to a supportive, non-judgmental French bulldog. Cletus is a certified therapy dog and his trainer will be present at all times. Parents are required to be present at all times. Children can bring their own books to read or may choose a book from the library.

Registration is required. CLICK HERE to check upcoming available appointment times. Registration opens three weeks prior to the program date.

We understand that schedules change, but in order to best serve our patrons, we ask that you notify the library via phone or email if you find that you are unable to attend. This gives us the opportunity to allow other patrons to register.
