The Rutherford County Library will host a public forum on Thursday, August 20th, at 7:00 pm at the County Library. Robin Lattimore, Chairman of the County Library Board of Trustees, will lead the discussion on petitioning our county commissioners for a new County Library building. A slideshow of other libraries in Western North Carolina will demonstrate what other counties enjoy in comparison to what we have here. Please come and bring your family and friends! |

The State Library of North Carolina has put together a web site with links to state and federal resources to assist those who are struggling during these tough economic times. The resources include information on job searching, health and wellness, veterans resources, help for family caregivers (both children and adult), and much more. |

NCLIVE has 3 new resources available - Consumer Health Complete, Science Reference Center, and TOPICsearch. You can access these and all other NCLIVE resources from any computer in the library. You can also access these resources from your home computer, but you will need to obtain a password from a library staff member. |
